Old cars in farming simulator 194/10/2024 ![]() We reduced the required slots for various vehicles and tools. Instead of 40 slots in Farming Simulator 19, it uses only 12 in Farming Simulator 22. Let's take a look at the CLAAS Axion 900 TT, for example. The more efficient slot usage allows for even more available items on your farm. But that's not all! Slot usage up to 70% more efficient! Farming Simulator 22 on the same consoles got a boost of more than 100%, resulting in 2749 slots on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.įor current gen consoles, meaning PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series consoles, we boosted it up to 300% - meaning 5155 slots that are available on those platforms. Up to 300% more slots!Īs you can see above, Farming Simulator 19 on "old gen" consoles had 1299 slots available. Like before, if you buy the same machine or tool more than once, every additional one will only require one slot. ![]() We reduced the slot usage of various items, too - that raises the amount of items your consoles can handle, even more. Secondly, we didn't just raise the amount of available slots. Even on the older consoles from last generation.įirst of all, there are more slots available in Farming Simulator 22 (compared to Farming Simulator 19), even on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With Farming Simulator 22 we tried to make everything more efficient when it comes to slots. Each respective console has a slot limit that defines, how many vehicles, tools, and other in-game items can be processed at a time. It's different for consoles, as you can't upgrade them. On PC, slots are primarily handled via RAM. The amount of items a PC can handle, is individual - but technically there is no limit if your PC is strong enough. ![]() Why just consoles, you ask? Well, as you know, every PC is different. The limit of slots is defined by the console. A LOT more.Įvery vehicle or tool, for example, uses a set amount of so-called slots. That means, you can have even more vehicles, tools and other items on your farm. Whether you play on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X: We increased the number of available slots. I recommend building your own, but prebuilt can be more convenient.Good news for everyone playing on consoles. I’ve even put together an FS19 PC build for people who might be interested in giving it a shot.Ĭlick the PC image above to look at specs of an example of a “prebuilt” PC for comparison. A starter level gaming PC can be sufficient to run FS19 with several mods. If you are on console you might feel like you can’t get the “good stuff.” If that’s the case, I recommend that you consider building a budget gaming PC. Anything else – even websites with FS19 in the name – are not official and can therefore be riddled with problems both in game or for your PC. However, the only mods that Giants officially support are the ones on the Farming Simulator official mod hub. I spent some time looking through Giants Terms and Conditions and didn’t find anything in plain speak about the mod permissions. However, if a player were to use FS to “bash” brands, it might become a more difficult legal situation. ![]() However, most brands would not go to the trouble of pursuing legal action when essentially “fans” are just playing with 3D models of their products. In other words, if you are using a mod of a vehicle without proper permission the rights holder could ask you to stop using that mod (most likely the case for a YouTuber or Twitch streamer than an average player). PC modders are able to make those other branded vehicles and release them because the permissions of “third party mods” fall on the end user. Instead, Giants uses a generic “Lizard” brand truck for people to use. When it comes to pick up trucks in particular, Ford, Chevy, and Dodge do not have rights deals negotiated with Giants, so they are not included. Not only are there many in-game John Deere vehicles, but it also opened up the brand for modders to add to the roster. This is why the deal to get John Deere for FS19 was so important. If the company is not already in the base game, then Giants Software cannot negotiate to allow official “mods” to include those brands. The answer is that console is restricted by licensing agreements with each individual company. Why can’t I get a Ford Truck on console? Why can’t I have a Dodge Truck on console? Why can’t I have a Chevy Truck on console? Why weren’t there any Claas implements on console until the DLC? Why can PC players have all these cool mods but console players cannot? If you’ve spent any time in forums or Farming Simulator 19 communities you have seen these questions.
